What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

Monsterfest X (Now through Wednesday, 5:30AM; AMC) - In honor of the holiday, AMC is once again running its Monsterfest programming, which consists of just what you'd think it would consist of: classic horror movies, all the time. Word! On Halloween day, they're playing most of the Halloween movies back to back, starting at 12:30PM and running until 11:45PM. (Link)
Halloween Tribute to Vincent Price: Master of the Macabre (Tue, 8PM through Wed AM; TCM) - If you want your horror movies a little more classic than those available on AMC, you can check out Turner Classic Movies' tribute to our man Mr. Price, the gentleman of horror. Featured are The Masque of the Red Death, House of Usher, Diary of a Madman, and a particular favorite of ours, The Abominable Dr. Phibes. (Link)
100 Greatest Songs of the 80s (Mon; 9PM-10PM; VH1) - Oh, man, we're so excited. This is part one of five, and covers numbers 100 through 81. Part two follows immediately at 10; keep an eye out for future episodes, and re-runs, throughout the week. Long live the '80s! (Link)
Nova (Tue; 8PM-9PM; WHYY) - Ooh! This episode of Nova is all about black holes- in particular, the one that's believed to exist at the center of our galaxy. Awesome. (Link)
Class of 3000 (Fri; 7PM-8PM; Cartoon Network) - The debut of a new animated series about a guy named Sunny Bridges, who gives up his superstar singing career to come back to his alma mater and teach music to gifted students. In this first episode, Bridges helps a kid who signed a questionable contract with a seedy record company. Of course, the exciting part about the show is that Sunny Bridges is essentially Andre 3000 - and indeed it's Andre himself who voices the character. (Link)
The Simpsons (Sun; 8PM-8:30PM; Fox) - Halloween doesn't just mean scary movies. It also means another Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode. This year's entry is number XVII, and features one story about a meteor turning Homer into a monster, another about a Golem, and finally the inevitable alien invasion story. Yay! (Link)
