What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

Monday Night Football: Giants at Cowboys (Mon; 8:30PM-11:30PM; ESPN) - This should be an interesting game, and much easier for Philly fans to watch than another agonizing Eagles game. And hey, you might get to see T.O. and the hated Cowboys get beat. (Link)

Fear Files: Zombies! (Tue; 8PM-9PM; History Channel) - Oh, yeah, it's Halloween all right. This special looks at stories about zombies and voodoo and tries to separate fact from fiction. We have only one thing to say to that: braaaaaaaaains. (Link)

Independent Lens (Tue; 10PM-11:30PM; WHYY) - The eighth episode of this series showcasing indie films features The World According to Sesame Street, a documentary about the attempt to produce international versions of the series. Sounds fun and interesting. (Link)

Decoding the Past (Thu; 9PM-10PM; History Channel) - Another Halloween special! This one takes a look at "The Real Doctor Frankenstein," a German theologian and alchemist named Johann Konrad Dippel. He lived in Castle Frankenstein, and may have been at least partially an inspiration for Mary Shelley's famous character. (Link)

Doctor Who (Fri; 8PM-9PM; Sci-Fi) - It's an hour long episode, part one of two, entitled "The Rise of the Cybermen." And you know what that means: the Cybermen are back! Woo hoo! Oh, also, Rose finds her father alive on a parallel Earth. Cybermen!!! (Link)

Hellboy: Sword of Storms (Sat; 9:30PM-11PM; Cartoon Network) - The animated Hellboy TV movie we mentioned in a Whiz of the Web last week. In it, Hellboy travels to Japan to try to stop some ancient twin demons from taking over the world. (Link)

Vampire Secrets (Sun; 8PM-10PM; History Channel) - A look at the common threads found in the various different vampire legends - like eternal life, and blood-sucking. Yay! (Link)
