A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets.

• We featured the Turkish Star Wars here before, so it's only right that we now also bring you the Turkish Star Trek, than which there has never been anything more awesome. All the characters appear to have the same names, and the same outfits (although the Turkish Kirk has a bit of a swish in his walk...), and the sets, music, effects, and costumes are similar, too - just even cheaper and less believable. For instance, the beaming is done using editing, scribbling on the film, and turning the camera out of focus. Oh, btw, there aren't any subtitles in this video, but really, does it matter? (Via)
• Man, we've got so many cool YouTube videos for you today, it's ridiculous. This one is a "South Park" tribute to Monty Python, featuring some of the original members of the troupe. You know, the ones that aren't dead, or busy. It's absolutely fantastic. (Via Stephen)
• Wait - there's no habeas corpus anymore? Crap. Has anybody noticed that our rights and freedoms seem to be slipping away? (Via)
• The winner of Stephen Colbert's green screen challenge is here, and it's Freedom Fighter! Eh. It's pretty good, but we have to say, we were expecting more. (Via)
• And now let's finish things up with some cool images from a couple of upcoming movies. First, we've got some concept art from the upcoming Dark Crystal sequel (just scroll down and click on the Concept Art link; oh, and we guess you could read the article about the movie, too), which will feature real actual puppets, and will be directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (squee!).
