Kilroy: Local musician and (Phillyist friend) Kilroy plays The Khyber (56 S. 2nd Street)with The Mextrosexuals, Gemini Wolf and Misnomer(s) - the latter of which we are told are "2 beautiful sisters from NYC. one raps and the other plays violin! no shit." Expect an interesting evening of music. 9PM. $8. 21+

Procession Came Opposite: Procession Came Opposite with Ritter, Much the Same and Anchors for Arms at The Fire (412 W. Girard). 6PM. $7. All Ages.

Go Back to School with Sex Dwarf: This month, the 80's New Wave Dance Party is highlighting the "ABC's of New Wave." (ABC, B-52s, INXS, etc). Dress in your favorite school uniforms. Fluid Nightclub (614 S. 4th Street). Doors open at 9, admission is free until 10 - and then $5 thereafter.

Free Chicago: Not the city - the band. They're giving a free performance at the Willow Grove Naval Base at 7PM. Directions and more info here.

Philadelphia Doo Wop Festival: A day of Doo Wop to raise money for The Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service & Education Center, Inc. . 2-7 PM on The Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. $10 (admission for kids 12 & under is free).

The Guatemalan Handshake: Free screening of The Guatemalan Handshake at The International House (3701 Chestnut Street). We won't even try to give you a synopsis of the synopsis, except that we expect it is rife withWacky Hijinks. You can read the synopsis here. The screening is at 7PM.

Sunday at The Church: R5 presents Magnolia Electric Company, Bottomless Pit and Shearwater at 7:30 PM at The First Unitarian Church (22nd & Chestnut). $10. All ages

Haddonfield Symphony Ensemble: 5:30 PM on the Plaza Stage at The Kimmel (260 S. Broad). Free.
