
- Philadelphia lawmakers met yesterday to discuss whether or not talking on a cellphone (without a handsfree device) should be made illegal in Pennsylvania; and whereas road safety is all well in good, Phillyist wants to know when talking on SEPTA, while in line at the market and in public restrooms (we're not kidding - what's the proper etiquette in this case - do you wait until the person in the next stall hangs up before you flush?) is outlawed.
- Philadelphia may have just opened a super high-tech school of awesomeness...but some of our less fancy schools may not be fit for man, student, beast, nor substitute teacher.
- Sometimes irritating chores have interesting payoffs: a caretaker at Fort Mifflin was mowing the grounds and discovered a tunnel and two-room jail cell beneath the Fort grounds. (via)
