
- Today's the day the art commission is meant to decide whether or not Rocky's effigy can hang out near the Art Museum steps. If yes, it'll be installed on Friday, if no, then, well, the media will be able to drag this issue out all that much longer. (Seriously - Phillyist doesn't think there was this much press when "The Scream" was found.)

- Summer's officially over for local Catholic school students - the Archdiocese has reached an agreement with teachers.
- In the sort of news we hate to read, but feel compelled to pass along: a stray bullet struck a woman in North Philly yesterday morning, leaving her in critical condition; and a man was stabbed in West Philadelphia. But really, let's spend more time arguing about that statue.
