The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you.

  • Pac-Xon is a combination of two classic video games, and those two games are not Pac-Man and Zaxxon, as this Phillyist had anticipated - with geeky excitement, we might add. Instead, the two games are Pac-Man and Qix, which is nearly as good, and makes for some addictive fun. (Via)
  • Ooh, more exciting His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass casting news! We already mentioned the perfect match-up of Nicole Kidman with character Mrs. Coulter, and now Daniel Craig has signed on to play Lord Asriel! A young Orson Welles would be the perfect person to play Lord Asriel, but as he is now permanently unavailable (until we invent time travel, that is), we think Daniel Craig will do just fine.
  • Oh, the fun you can have at Married to the Sea! (NSFW)

More after the jump...

  • There's an entire 46-and-a-half-minute-long Discovery Channel documentary about the history of video games on Google Video right now. Sweet! We watched the entire thing, and we can say definitively that it's quite fascinating. It really just covers the early history of video games, centering on Pong, Atari, Nintendo, and Tetris, but it's got some great stories we'd never heard before, plenty of amusing vintage footage, and neat new interviews with the people involved. • Warning: playing Guitar Hero can cause extreme behavior that may lead to horrible, horrible injuries! Do not play if you "throw the horns" more than three times per day. (Via)
  • A white guy does a sensitive, solo, singer-songwriter-type cover of Outkast's runaway hit, "Hey Ya," and here's the weird thing: it's actually pretty good! (Via)
