- The Daily News tried to track down the people behind some T-shirts they'd seen that seem to glorify crime and violence. They didn't have much luck. We're personally a fan of the one that looks like the Warner Brothers logo, except it's been altered to read "If you see the cops coming...Warn a Brother."
- Besides freedom and democracy, we're also bringing soccer to the Iraqi people. A Marine who grew up in the Philly area is helping to spearhead the sports initiative, which seems to be going well, or at least better than the whole freedom and democracy thing.
- Man, those new security restrictions are pretty harsh! One woman at the Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown was stopped from boarding her plane and charged with two felonies just because she had a loaded gun and some pepper spray. (Seriously, though, what was she thinking?!)
- The good citizens of Florence Township, NJ have a problem, and that problem is a sudden increase in the local population of turkey vultures, who have apparently been dive-bombing the residents with their splattery waste. Eww. What the birds are doing there is still a bit of a mystery; some feel it has to do with a landfill across the river in Tullytown, PA, but the folks at the landfill protest that vultures go after carrion, not garbage. Um...did they consider that garbage can sometimes include carrion? Maybe they should took a long hard look at what's in that landfill...
