Whiz of the Web: Wednesday Whiz-Up

The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you.

  • Scenes from Clerks, as acted out by the Peanuts gang. It's that simple! Of course, seeing as how this is Kevin Smith dialogue, beware language that is NSFW (always remember to wear your headphones!). (Via Jill)
  • It's a game of Space Invaders, except stop-motion animated using people as pixels. That might not make sense; the point is, you really need to watch this. It's totally awesome. (Via) Or you could buy the Space Invaders rug! If it were real. (Via) Then again, if you don't like Space Invaders, you can always try Pong.
  • Mario will continue his attempts to dominate the sports world by moving onto basketball next in Mario Hoops, a game coming out soon in Japan, with the inevitable US release following quickly thereafter, we assume. The interesting thing about this is that the game was made by Square Enix, so the usual cast of Mario characters is joined on the court by Ninjas, White Mages, Black Mages, and other Final Fantasy creatures. Crazy.

  • The best games are fun even when you lose. (Via)
  • Chad Vader - Day Shift Manager: Episode I. It's like Star Wars...if Darth Vader were a vaguely pathetic day manager at a supermarket. (Via)
  • Animated Dragonlance movie, everybody! Hey, we remember those books! And really, this was inevitable. The only surprising thing is that this movie hasn't been made already. Voice talent will be provided by Kiefer Sutherland, as well as genuine geek icons like Lucy Lawless and Michelle Trachtenberg. (Via)
