Actually, it would be pretty awesome if you wrote with a Texas accent. It's kind of cute. Edgar Allan Poe had a Southern accent (or at least used one---beautifully, hypnotically, in his (in)famous public performances). It's what allowed him to proudly rhyme "vista" and "kissed her." </p>
