More of What You're Clamoring For

As you've probably already noticed this morning, our tech guys came through again! Those fun features you've seen at other -ist sites, and wondered why they weren't here, have now been added! We like to think they were just being tested at those other places, and now that the kinks have been worked out, we're getting the tried and true finished product.

The details: Now every post has a "Recommend this!" link at the bottom, so you can share with other readers which articles you enjoyed the most. The most recommended and most commented on posts will show up in the "FAVORITES!" section on the left side of the page. Also in the left column is the exciting new "CONTRIBUTE!" section where you can leave us tips, or see the latest links tagged "for:phillyist" at del.icio.us and the latest photos tagged "phillyist" at Flickr*. Check out the contribute page here, and get to work tagging stuff, people! We want to see that contribute box full of stuff by tonight! Go, go, go!

Oh, and there's also a Giveaway box on the left side that will keep you up to date on the latest contest. This is so we don't have to keep doing reminder posts, and you don't have to dig down through the archives to find any giveaway that might be going on. There's one in progress right now, so check it out and send your e-mails!

* Even though the latest tagged photos will now be showing up automatically on this page, don't worry, we'll still be picking out our favorite Phillyist Flickr group photo every week for our Photoist column.
