What's interesting on TV this week.

Shortest Marriages (Mon; 9PM-10PM; VH1) - Short celebrity marriages. Isn't that a bit redundant? The question about this show is not so much which marriages will they talk about, but more which marriages will they leave out?
Dirty Jobs (Tue; 9PM-10PM; Discovery) - Another gross episode of this show about a dude trying out various filthy jobs. But what's so dirty about dismantling Tournament of Roses Parade floats? Quite a bit, if they're constructed of organic materials, the parade was held in the rain, and it's been over for weeks!
Frontline (Tue; 10PM-11:30PM; PBS) - Frontline's "The Dark Side" special reports on Vice President Dick Cheney (who, fittingly enough, has joined the Dark Side) and his involvement with the war in Iraq and the more general "War on Terror." Various formers are interviewed, including a former White House adviser, a former national intelligence officer, and a former CIA official. And that's always good, because if they're former, they're probably not afraid to dish some serious dirt. This should be fun.
Lobstermen: Jeopardy at Sea (Tue; 10PM-11PM; Discovery) - Sadly, not about half-man, half-lobster creatures attacking people at sea. It's just sort of the sequel to "The Deadliest Catch." Boring!
America's Got Talent (Wed; 9PM-11PM; NBC) - A new talent search reality show from the producers of "American Idol." Oh God, when will it end?! Hopefully with this show, as this time it's just a general talent show contest, covering singing, dancing, comedy, acrobatics, etc. Regis Philbin hosts, and David Hasselhoff, Brandy, and Piers Morgan are the judges.
Independent Lens (Wed; 9PM-11PM; PBS) - Even "Independent Lens" has exciting two-part season-enders! This is part one, and it is the first half of a documentary that played at the Philadelphia Film Festival this year: A Lion in the House. The movie follows the lives of children with cancer over a six year period. Tough stuff, but probably rewarding... (The second part airs the next day during the same time period.)
Billy Wilder Speaks (Thu; 8PM-9PM; TCM) - A mildly famous director (Volker Schlondorff) did a series of interviews with a very famous and talented director (Billy Wilder) in 1988, and this special is the result. Footage of the interviews (in which Wilder talks about screenwriting, his career in general, and actors he worked with) is interspersed with footage from Wilder's excellent films. Should be fun!
