- Most of us were off this past holiday weekend, but gun violence failed to take a holiday. Shootings over Memorial Day weekend resulted in six injuries, and two fatalities (both shot in the head).
- Our local tourism board might want to rethink their "Philly's More Fun When You Sleep Over" campaign; at least for musicians. Yet another band has had its van and gear stolen from the parking lot of their hotel.
- The Knowledge Industry Partnership has had some success in its efforts to keep college grads in Philly once we've done educated them, so much so that the organization will be made permanent. (Hopefully not a sign that the city sees the so-called "brain drain" as a permanent problem.) (via)
