Elite -ist: The Internets Hate Us

Just after bragging about how we figured out all our internet woes, the internet in our temporary squat crapped out on us. Again. Tech support looked at our modem status and said "Oh, that's bad." So we're taking advantage of a library computer lab while we bring you the latest and greatest that our fellow -ists have posted since last we checked in!

Londonist has an excellent point.

Austinist: Ah, if only we hadn't just thrown out all the contents of our less-used purses!

Parisist: This isn't a link to a specific post, we just wanted to announce that looking at the weather in Parisist's masthead really scared us. Until we realized that it was in Celsius.

Chicagoist: If you're gonna make a movie, Chicagoist would really appreciate it if you'd do so in the Windy City.

Shanghaiist: Yeah. Right.

Houstonist: We're totally singing the theme from Batboy: The Musical right now. Thanks, Houstonist. Thanks a lot.

LAist: But seriously now, does anybody really like waiting in lines?

Torontoist: We're thinking it's not the standing that will get him tired. We're thinking he'll lose his voice by hour thirty and he'll have to do the last twenty hours Napoleon Dynamite-style.
