Power Outage Kills Area Trains

amtrak-engine.jpgAround 8AM this morning, a power outage (the cause of which is still unknown) shut down train service between New York and Washington, affecting travellers in and around Philly who use SEPTA, NJ Transit, or Amtrak. Power has supposedly been fully restored by now, but expect delays anyway. As far as we can tell, the PATCO highspeed line has not been affected. You can find more details on this story here, here, and here. (Thanks go to our friend Libby who made us aware of this development.)
