What's interesting on TV this week.

Alias (Mon; 9PM-11PM; ABC) - At long last, here's the final, two-hour long episode of "Alias." That's final as in last one ever, people. If you haven't watched in a while, like us, you might be curious to check this out, and yet you might also be harboring fears that you'd no longer have any idea what's going on. But fear not! The episode description says Sloane and Irina have teamed up to see through the Rambaldi prophecy, and that Sydney and Vaughn are trying to stop them. So, yeah, it's just business as usual. Heavy: The Story of Metal (Mon; 9PM-10PM; VH1) - Part 1 of a 4 part special on the history of heavy metal rock music. This episode takes a look at Black Sabbath, KISS, and the rise of glam metal in the '70s. So settle in and get ready to throw up the horns to some of the old school hard rockers. Dude, that's so metal. (Btw, the three other parts will air each succeeding night, at the same time; or you could gorge yourself on metal and catch all four parts in a row starting at 6PM on Thursday.) (Official site)

Desperation (Tue; 8PM-11PM; ABC) - A TV movie adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name (he also wrote the screenplay), starring Tom Skerritt and Ron Perlman. We like those actors, we were pleasantly surprised by the (relatively) recent Stephen King TV movie Storm of the Century, and we remember this book being kind of okay, so maybe this movie will be good! Hey, you never know. (Official site)

Edens Lost and Found (Thu; 10PM-11PM; PBS) - This episode of the documentary show takes a look at environmental activities right here in Philadelphia! Included are examinations of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the Philadelphia Green program, as well as interviews with the Mural Arts Project program director (Jane Golden), the project manager of Greensgrow (Mary Seton Corby), and the president of Carroll Park Neighbors (Doris Gwaltney). (Official site)

100 Funniest Movies (Sat; 7PM-11PM; Bravo) - Bravo's taking four hours to count down the one hundred funniest movies evah. And really, who knows funny movies better than Bravo? Don't answer that. Anyway, we like lists, and we like funny, so this could be a good time. (Official site)

The Curse of King Tut's Tomb (Sat, 8PM-11PM; Hallmark) - Some movie about an Indiana Jones-type guy and his team of good archaeologists trying to beat an evil team of archaeologists to a powerful ancient tablet in King Tut's tomb. Whatever. Our question is, what the heck is this doing on the Hallmark Channel??? (IMdB page)
