Whiz of the Web: Thirsty Thursday

A tall, icy glass of our favorite internet junk, just for you.

  • It's not really all that good, but it's obviously something you're going to have to watch: Neo vs. Robocop. Yes, thanks to some clever editing and video compositing, the two heroes face off in a battle for the ages. And just like The Matrix trilogy, the ending doesn't really make much sense! But keep your eyes peeled for a few surprising and rather amusing cameos. (Via)
  • A new bunnies reenactment from Angry Alien! This time, it's one of the most perfect movies of all time, Casablanca. But really, does it matter which film it is? It's bunnies! Doing a movie! In 30 seconds!
  • Jackie Chan and Jet Li are going to be in a movie together! Um, we don't think you heard us. Jackie Chan and Jet Li in the same movie. Like, together. Right now it doesn't have an official title (it's just called the J & J Project), but it's already been in development for three months and a teaser trailer will debut at Cannes. AWESOME. Although we think maybe the guy at the Movie Blog is even a little too excited. Eeww...

  • Have you noticed yet that we love Lore Sjöberg? His latest column for Wired is a unique take on E3. He hates waiting, so he only played the games that had no line in front of them. Since no such games exist at E3, he made some up. And they're pretty funny.
  • Check it out, Rock Static has a track from Yo La Tengo's new album, I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass. Man, those guys can write a good title. As for music, they're pretty good at that, too, though we find they can be pretty hit-and-miss. Unfortunately, for our money, this track is leaning more towards one of their misses than one of their hits. It's pleasant enough, but not particularly interesting. Still, it's a free track from their new album, so that's cool, right? (Via)
  • List time: top fifty Marvel characters ever. The top guy's kind of surprising, but otherwise it's pretty much who you might expect. (Via)
