A 16-year-old girl was shot once in the buttocks and a 17-year-old boy once in the upper right thigh, said Joseph Fox, chief of detectives.They... ran toward [the school] after being hit. The boy made it inside the east entrance of the school and collapsed; rescue units took care of the girl near the shooting scene.
In the chaos that followed, the school went into immediate lockdown, with students neither allowed to enter or exit. Parents rushed to the scene, and some were allowed inside to be with their children.
No word yet on who the shooter was (he apparently fled on foot), but about ten Olney students were taken into custody for questioning.
Both injured teens were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment and were in stable condition within an hour of arriving. Phillyist will keep you updated if we hear anything new.
