- Ooh, ooh! The trailer for the new Bond movie, Casino Royale, has hit the internet! Yes, it's in French, and the video quality isn't the greatest, but it's still quite awesome. Check it out. (Via)
- Speaking of trailers, word is that the new one for Superman Returns will run in front of Mission Impossible 3 this weekend. We wonder, will comic book geeks do the same thing now that some Star Wars geeks did when the trailer for The Phantom Menace premiered in front of Meet Joe Black - buy a ticket for the movie just so they can see the trailer, and then walk out? Only time will tell. (Btw, we totally didn't do that. We sat there and watched the entire movie Meet Joe Black. After all, they were playing the trailer again at the end!)
- And while we're on the subject of movies, have you heard they're remaking the classic '80s mythological action B-movie, Clash of the Titans?! Apparently they plan to keep the plot (which was highly unfaithful to the actual myths, btw) pretty much the same, but make it darker and more realistic. We bet that's exactly how they described it in the pitch meeting, too: "it'll be just like the original, but darker and more realistic!" Oh, boy. We love the original film, but realize it was super-cheesy. So maybe an updated, more believable version could be good. But somehow we doubt it.

As for the eye jewelry: how can it not pull the contact out of your eye? Contacts fall out for no reason, and we're supposed to believe that a string hanging out with beads on it won't do much worse than that? Perhaps I just don't understand physics.
