What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.
Texas Ranch House (Mon; 8PM-10PM; PBS) - PBS once again asks the question, "Is reality TV okay if it's on PBS and it's historically accurate?" This time we've got folks living the life of the Old West, circa 1867, on the Cooke family ranch. In episode one, they learn how to gather cows. Woo boy. (Official site)
CSI: Miami (Mon; 10PM-11PM; CBS) - A newlywed millionaire on a cruise gets robbed, pushed overboard, and attacked by sharks. It's never a simple, normal crime about some regular Joe getting shot, is it? (Official site)
Independent Lens: Music from the Inside Out (Tue; 10PM-12AM; PBS) - We know we just mentioned this show last week, but they're playing another interesting movie, this time a documentary showcasing performances of Philadelphia Orchestra members. It also features discussions with the performers about what the music means to them. If that wasn't enough of a local connection, this movie was also in the Philadelphia Film Festival a year or so ago. If you missed it then, here's your chance to make up for it. (IMdB page)
Mega Movers (Tue; 10PM-11PM; History Channel) - There's a show about moving really big things?! Huh, there's a show about moving really big things. In this week's episode, they're trying to get a B25 bomber to a museum, but first they have to get it from the bottom of a South Carolina lake to the surface. (Official site)
Modern Marvels (Wed; 10PM-11PM; History Channel) - The evolution of the shovel. Wow. Sometimes the History Channel is interesting, and sometimes it's just not. (Official site)
