Rockin’ This Suburb – Literally

phillyist_benfolds.jpg

Big props to Rutgers University Camden. They're bringing musical whiz kid Ben Folds to rock the suburb – literally. Ben's bringing his show to the Collingswood Scottish Rite Auditorium (accessible by PATCO and a bit of foot power for those of you in the city) at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night. Reports out of the Baltimore Ben Folds show say it's a must-see, especially if you're a fan.

Tickets are $20 for those with non-Rutgers ties and $10 for students, faculty, staff and alumni (though they don't ask for proof if you order over the phone). The best part? Besides the low low price, there's no ridiculous "service charges" or other made up fees.

Call the Rutgers University-Camden IMPACT booth at 856-225-6211 for more information.

Fun Ben Folds fact: He produced, arranged and co-wrote most of the songs on William Shatner's album, Has Been, and played piano for Weird Al Yankovich (who directed the video for "Rockin' the Suburbs").
