Passover ended five days ago, and you've still got most of a box of matzoh sitting in your kitchen. Now that you're back to real bread, you don't want to make matzoh PB&J or matzoh tuna sandwiches. But matzoh doesn't have any preservatives in it, so you've got to do something about that box on your countertop.
Fortunately, flavorless as matzoh is, there are several tricks that make it palatable. Here are some of my favorite tricks:
- Spread matzoh with goat cheese. Top with arugula and craisins. Drizzle with olive oil and bake.
- Sprinkle gorgonzola cheese over matzoh, top with sliced pears and walnuts and bake. (We got that idea from Marathon Grill.)
- Make matzoh pizza: top with tomato sauce, cheese, and veggies!
- Try our recipe for bruschetta crackers on matzoh.
- Roasted red peppers and provolone (if you like it sharp) or mozzarella (if you don't). Serve hot or cold.
- Crumble matzoh and use in place of bread crumbs when making chicken. (Just make sure your chicken is well-marinated, or else it will be very, very dry by the time everything's cooked.
That's just a few things you can do with your leftover matzoh. How do you use yours?
