We’re Going to Study, um, Economics

In their attempt to wrangle fans into a beautiful park that is home to a still unproven team, the Phillies are hosting College Nights when tickets bought online are $7 off for students, faculty and alumni (yes! I knew I kept that thing for a reason!). (Editor's Update Okay, so the tickets aren't actually $7 like we said before. It's still a good deal, though.) Scheduled college nights: April 19, 20, 24, 26, 27 and May 7.

Tonight's game is coupled with a Dollar Dog day where wieners are a buck (as is the game on April 24). Genius.

Other upcoming promotions to look forward to: Women's Softball Celebration on April 22; Business Person's Special on April 27 and Mother's Appreciation Day on May 7 with free tote bag for the ladies (perfect if Mom likes the Phils).

fyi, it's a $7 discount, rather than admission for $7. and it only applies for online purchases, so you get charged the requisite online surcharge ($4 per order in this case).

no worries. and i think this is even a worse deal that i thought. i was going to get tickets for monday's game, and i realized that in addition to the order fee, there's also a fee per ticket of $3.

so i could pay 36 bucks online with the discount for 2 tickets. or i could go to the ballpark and pay 40 bucks. wow great, a 2 dollar discount (sarcasm). oh well, might as well save the 2 bucks
