- Philly (by way of Metroblogging Philadelphia) points out that according to GoVeg.com, Philadelphia is the 9th most vegetarian friendly city in the US. This comes as a little bit of a shock to us, as we often find ourselves scrambling for good places to dine with our less carnivorous friends. However, searching vegguide.org shows us that there are 27 veggie friendly eateries within one mile of our own zipcode (including the very tasty Govinda's Cafe). We'll have to be careful - with so many vegetarian options around, we might find ourselves accidentally eating better - which would do a huge disservice to the local burger joints.
- Grand Text Auto blogs about Ten-sided, a collaborative, improvisational story blog by ten authors, wherein all authors blog as fictional characters. We think it's great that they're using blogging in new, artistic ways - but we worry that fictional blogs might hurt the internet (because we're sure everything else we read online is 100% accurate and true).
- The Blog of Failed Relationships asks if writers write about writers, are they really writing about themselves. This question makes our head want to explode.
- Kimmel Center Blog presents it's 2006/2007 season - which we're happy to learn includes both Spamalot & Edward Scissorhands. Phillyist was fortunate to see Edward Scissorhands on a recent trip to London - and were impressed that someone was able to dance about wearing all those blades without doing themselves harm...which is more than we can say for...
- The gentleman in Chicago threw not only several handfuls of knives at the police during a standoff - but also his own penis. We learned this from Only Partially Insane - whose nose we promise never to pinch, even if she does use the word "hoo-hoo" without irony.

Yesterday I had a wild boar burger with partially melted blue cheese... delicious. And (aside from the blue cheese) far healthier than hamburger. (Though I prefer raw meat....)
