A tall, icy glass of our favorite internet junk, just for you.

- Wired News has an interesting and kind of creepy article on the growing buzz and controversy surrounding artistic body implants. We're not talking about fake breasts here now; we're talking about jamming pretty much any sized or shaped chunk of silicone under your skin anywhere on your body (see above, or check out the link for more pictures). The way it works is, you get a shallow incision, and then a dermal elevator clears out enough room between the subcutis and the fascia to fit your implant. It's then inserted, and the incision is sutured shut. All this (which made Phillyist feel kind of sick just typing it) is generally done without anesthetic. Even more problematic, it's also generally done by piercers who have little or no medical training. Still, if you want to have real ridges in your head like a really real Klingon, this is the way to do it! Oh, and the next step? Active, electronic implants, of course!
- Check out this Top 10 List of Geek Watches. These are the watches of the future, people, combining style with the ridiculously high tech. They've got a watch with a 1GB USB hard drive in it; a watch designed by Frank Gehry that tells time with phrases like "8 til 10;" a watch that doubles as a universal remote control; a super-nerdy watch from Stanley that comes with an extendable ruler; and an awesome Dick Tracy-looking watch that can store up to eight short voice recordings. That's hot stuff. (Via)
- We bet plenty of you out there are Mario fans, and have warm memories of the original Super Mario Bros. for the NES. If so, then you'll certainly be excited to see the box art for the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. game for the DS. The image - which seems to suggest the game is a return to the old school Mario forumla - is courtesy of Amazon (via Digg), who also have the game available for pre-order, despite the fact that it won't be out until May 7th. Phillyist has threatened in the past to go out and buy one of these newfangled DS things, but this may be the game that finally turns those threats into actions.
