Overheard in Philly uses it to take a shot (har har) at Dick Cheney, while; PhillySound is all seriousness, and makes an interesting point about the film Phillyist hadn't considered: "The most important thing, the thing eclipsed by the noise over the man-on-man action is the suffering of men revealed. Of all the films I've seen where men experience the worst sadness imagined, none give it up quite like this one, which is key I think to why so many women are having their guts ripped out in the theaters these days." - Blinq points out yet another important service that only the Internet could bring: Does my ass look fat in these pants?
- Johnny Goodtimes wraps up Valentine week by proclaiming the ten worst love songs ever. Phillyist is right there with Johnny on #1 (My Heart Will Go On) but we have to protest his choices for #6 & #8 - both of which are on our iTunes playlist. Phillyist admits we have a soft spot for 80s power ballad cheese; and we won't apologize for it either. In fact, we're putting Mr. Mister on right now.
