We're back for more Philadelphia blogosphere, this week featuring some familiar subjects (Philly Future! Albert Yee!) and some not-so-familiar subjects (Fiona Apple! Jennifer Weiner! JOHNNY GOODTIMES!)
>>> Howard checks in at Philly Future with thoughts on Project H.O.M.E.'s Young Friends events, which we urged you to go to yesterday.
>>> The Kimmel Center wants to know where you listen to music. Is this the sort of thing where the Kimmel Center is crossing their fingers as they wait for someone to say "The Kimmel Center"? Sort of like when we walk around the city shouting "Who's the best blog in town?" and waiting for someone to shout "Phillyist."
>>> Albert Yee is tired of negative campaign advertising, thus he's ushering in a new era of campaign advertising.
>>> A loyal Phillyist reader wrote in asking us to help her out and we were like, "Yo, we only link to blogs." And she was like, "Yo, I have a Craigslist post." And we figured that was kind of a blog, so we just linked it. Pencopal has lost her Fiona Apple tickets, which is bad. But she lost her copy of Jennifer Weiner's Good in Bed, which is good. So maybe it all evens out? Or maybe it just teaches you a lesson: never store concert tickets in books, especially Weiner books.
>>> Hey, that SEPTA strike deadline is getting awfully close. We need some last-minute heroics. Has David Bell been traded yet?
>>> There's Philly Bloggers Meet-Up tomorrow! It's being held at Nodding Head (1516 Sansom) tomorrow at 3 p.m. At first we wondered, "Geez, that's an awfully weird time to get together with bloggers and drink." But hey, then we realized it was a bloggers meet-up. There is no protocol.
>>> Will Bunch got all Johnny Goodtimes with us and asked us to pimp his plans to save the Daily News. Bunch wants to scrap all of DN's various personalities and replace them with personalities.
>>> Speaking of Johnny Goodtimes, we haven't forgotten about our weekly raffle. The site is decked out in orange this week because of Halloween, which is sort of lame, Johnny. Really, JG, why make such a big deal over Halloween? Anyways, here's this week's raffle winner. And by raffle winner, we mean "post we randomly selected that just happens to be at the top of the page when we wrote this." You're behind the curtain, people.
