Roots To Play Kimmel Center Tonight With TV on the Radio, Deerhoof

091505_roots.jpgWill Smith probably earns the title of "Most Popular Philadelphian Recording Artist." But when it comes to the title of "Most Popular Philadelphia Recording Artist We're Proud To Admit Is Our Own," well, The Roots own that title. Tonight, The Roots bring their amazing live show to the beautiful Kimmel Center, in a night that promises to be a great fish out of water experience. You know, sort of like Splash but with a concert and without Tom Hanks.

Proceeds from tonight's show will also benefit Hurrican Katrina victims, so you can not only feel good about seeing a good show, but you can feel good about helping people. And that's always nice.

Tonight's show begins at 8 p.m., with tickets ranging between $26 and $56. You can buy tickets at Spaceboy Music, the Kimmel Center box Office, or R5 Productions.
