Philadelphia Weekly has been stewing for months, wondering why they couldn't find the next Will Bunch. Or the next Dan Rubin. Or the next...Um, does City Paper have a blog?
But there will be stew no more. Philadelphia Weekly, starved to be even more alternative, has gone out and joined that wild blogging craze by bringing Philadelphia blogger/writer/Randy Wolf-lookalike Dan McQuade on-board as the new staff blogger. The PW folks took McQuade's old blog, Philadelphia Will Do, and changed it around. Philadelphia will do, it seems, but old Philadelphia Will Do won't do. Are you still following us?
We expect all sorts of hijinx from Mr. McQuade over the next months, or dare I say years (if this whole blogging thing lasts, anyways). Hijinx may include such rebellious actions as hyperlinking, picture posting and self-aware bullshitting.
We'd like to welcome McQuade to blogging and to Philadelphia, but he's kinda been around a while. So instead, we'll just quit before we're forced to talk about Jessica Pressler.
