Street Movies

Outdoor MoviesIf Phillyist loves anything, it's Films that are Free. Therefore, it was with some sadness that we turned the calendar from muggy July to oppressive August, since the act indicated the free, outdoor summer movie showings were winding down. Lucky for us Scribe Video Center has got the late-summer outdoor movie hook-up.

At 8:30 pm every Thursday through August, Scribe Video Center will present the summer edition of Street Movies, their collection of independent film and video. Street Movies offers real Philadelphia flavour - not only presenting several films about local issues and/or by local artists, but also by holding these free showings in a different Philadelphia or South Jersey neighborhood each week - celebrating the diversity and divergence that makes this area great.

If you want to check out Street Movies this week, you'll need to make your way to Montessori Genesis II (3510 Brandywine Street). For location and show information for future dates, visit the Scribe Video Center website. All shows are a go, rain or shine.
