Lots of people seemed jazzed about our decision to include Philly-area listings last week, so we’re going to keep doing it until someone’s got a bone to pick. See the end of the article for contact info about all your bone-picking needs.

2005_0624_10x10_poster.gif10 for 10: A Spark Showcase Festival - Ten local theater companies present ten ten-minute plays, ranging from musical comedy to all-girl action (not that kind, you pervs). July 26-31 at the Mum Puppettheatre, 125 Arch Street, Philadelphia. For tickets, see their website.

The Tenth Annual Delaware 10-Minute Play Festival - We can’t say it any better than their website, which promises: “20 Plays in 4 Nights!!! 5 Different Plays Each Night!!! Drinks! Beer! Popcorn! Comfy Seats! Air-Conditioning! Pre-Show Live Music!” Sounds tempting, right? Tickets are $12 per performance, or $35 for all four nights. Performances run July 26-29 at 8 p.m. at the City Theater in Wilmington.

30Fest and The O’Conner Girls - Philadelphia really loves its short plays this summer! The People’s Light Theatre Company is celebrating the end of its 30th Anniversary Season with a collection of commissioned short works and solo performances about families – functional and otherwise. The show closes this weekend; see the website for more information. Tickets $26-$42. The People’s Light Theatre Company Main Stage is located at 39 Conestoga Road in Malvern. The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival - The festival, at De Sales University in Center Valley, is only producing one actual Shakespeare show (The Merchant of Venice), but don’t let that stop you: it looks to be a great time all-around. Performances continue through August 7. For more information, see their website. The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival at De Sales University is located at 2755 Station Avenue in Center Valley, PA.

Love’s Labour Lost - Delaware has a Shakespeare festival too, but unlike its Pennsylvania counterpart, activities and center around one specific play. Love’s Labour’s Lost is a comedy full of romance, disguise, and celibacy. We’re serious. Tickets are $7, and the play opens this weekend. For more information, see their website. Tickets not currently available for advanced purchase. The Delaware Shakespeare Festival is presented on the grounds of Archmere Academy, five miles north of Wilmington on U.S. Route 13, just before the PA border and is easily accessible by car or SEPTA.

Menopause: The Musical - The name says it all, doesn’t it? Shows at the Society Hill Playhouse, Tuesday through Saturday at 8 PM, Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM, and 5:30 PM on Sunday. Tickets are $45. Call 215.923.0210 for reservations. The Society Hill Playhouse is located at 507 South 8th Street in Philadelphia.

Trojan Wars - We ask: when isn’t unexpected teenage pregnancy funny? Performances at the Second Stage at the Adrienne Theatre (2030 Sansom in Philadelphia), Wednesday-Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., now through July 31. Tickets $10-$20. Move Over Mrs. Markam - A British bedroom farce by Ray Cooney. And really, who doesn’t like bedrooms? July 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 at 8 PM, July 17, 24, 31 at 2 PM. Tony and Tina’s Wedding - Think My Big Fat Greek Wedding, only they’re Italian and you’re invited. Tickets include wedding buffet and post-show dancing. July 22, 24, 29, on board the Spirit of Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing. $79 plus handling fee. For information, visit: them on the web.

West Side Story - The Bernstein/Sondheim/Laurents vehicle that’s been bringing audiences to tears since 1958 is coming to the close of its run at the Walnut Street Theatre. It’s Romeo and Juliet with singing and dancing; a perennial favorite. July 20, 21, 22, 8 PM. July 16, 23 at 2 PM and 8 PM. July 24 at 2 PM and 7 PM. The Sound of Music - The famous Rogers and Hammerstein musical, complete with singing nuns, angry yet music-loving Nazis, and lots of adorable children, will be performed at The Academy Theater through July 23.
